Talking History with…Christopher Vondracek

The DPM will host a series of Saturday afternoon History Book Talks in February. See below for author bios and books. Open and free to the public. Books from each author will be available to purchase through the museum gift shop.

Programs begin at 1:30pm each Saturday in February.

Christopher Vondracek is the author of Dancing with Welk, a musical memoir about his own band’s rise and fall within the shadow of prairie troubadour Lawrence Welk, and Rattlesnake Summer, which features 66 poems for each of South Dakota’s counties. He is currently a journalist for the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, covering agriculture.
