Artists of the Prairie: Dreams and Memories

“Artists of the Prairie: Dreams and Memories – 2nd Biennial Collaborative Art Show” Lamont Gallery, Dacotah Prairie Museum 21 S. Main St., Aberdeen (September 30 to November 25)

This second biennial art show, titled “Artists of the Prairie: Dreams and Memories” will be displayed in Dacotah Prairie Museum’s Lamont Gallery from Saturday, September 30 to Saturday, November 25, 2023.  It is a collaborative exhibit with entries by artists from South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota, who were chosen for participation in the show though an application process. The Artists of the Prairie Exhibition was held for the first time in Fall 2021.  Museum exhibits staff are pleased to announce that the number of participants has grown from 35 artists two years ago to 55 artists (54 works total) featured this year, with all three states represented, and many of whom are local to the Aberdeen area.

The 2023 theme for submitted artworks is “Dreams and Memories”.  Individuals with ties to the prairie (who are current or past residents of the tri-state area) are united in this display of vibrancy and creativity which is not to be missed!

An ARTIST OPEN HOUSE DAY will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, during regular museum hours.  Museum galleries are open Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
